Who has information on the Plantation Drive-In on Route 460? I remember that place well. Went there as a child with my family during the 1950s & 60s. I also recall going there as late as 1973 as a young adult.

From what I have read, the Suffolk Drive-In was opened to compete with another drive-in located in Suffolk, VA called the Plantation Drive-In. The tactic must have worked since the owner of the Suffolk Drive-In bought the slightly larger Plantation Drive-In and then closed the Suffolk Drive-In in less than four years.
