The Anchort Drive-In was operated by Martin Theatres from the 1970’s thru the 1980’s.

Interesting picture here. A local artist painted a mural of Newport News landmarks on the wall of a school cafeteria, reproducing the images from some snapshot photos. One of these was the Anchor DI.
