Parked in front of theater, CMC #1356, new in 1946. Which dates this photo no earlier than 1946. Probably very soon afterwards. South State St then, from aprox Van Buren to Harrison, was like a honkey tonk place, whith cheap hotels, girly show theaters, arcades etc.
