The former Gage Park Theater, located on W. 51st Street between S. Talman Avenue and S. Rockwell Street in the Gage Park neighborhood opened in the early-1930’s. The theater was badly damaged by a fire in 1946. Having served for many years as a furniture store, in recent years it was home to a church, but the building was vacant in 2017.

My grandfather owned it, or operated a theater there in the 30’s. It was called the Gaelic at that time.
