The architects of the Gillioz Theatre were Johnson and Maack of St. Louis. The style both inside and out was in a Georgean Colonial style and seating was provided for 724 on one level. It opened in 1931 and was built for and named after Mr M.E. Gillioz a local contractor. The street address of the Gillioz Theatre was 520-22 Broadway, Monett, MO
The Gillioz was a single screen theatre.
M.E. Gillioz was the contractor for the Gillioz in Springfield, Mo. also.

A book about the Gillioz Theatre in Springfield includes a small illustration of the Monett Gillioz on page 1928 (Google Books preview.)
The book says that Maurice Gillioz also financed and built the Fox Theatre in Joplin, Missouri. The NRHP-listed Fox is still standing, functioning as a church and special events center, with occasional movies.
