The lot where the Tower Theatre stood has been a parking lot for over thirty three years now, but it looks as if construction has now begun on a new project

Architect W. Scott Dunne designed the Tower Theater.
Those 40s photos show what little interior decoration the Tower Theatre had. Exterior styling was simple Spanish Colonial, while the interior was done up in Southwestern Moderne. Love that standee carpet pattern, bet it was colorful!

TOWER Theater opened 1930, and near the end of the 1960s was an off and on operation until it closed completely. Structure sat empty many years and finally was razed 1977.
The Tower Theater was operated at one point by Griffith Consolidated and showed art/foreign language films.
