The Lyric Theatre in Belmond, Iowa was opened prior to 1914. It is a single screen theatre that shows first run movies. It was closed for renovations in September and October of 2005.

It was also closed in the 80’s and early 90’s. After renovations, it re-opened in 1992 showing FAR & AWAY.

The Lyric is open but now called the New Lyric Theatre showing first run attratctions according to their faacebook page.
