Pine Ridge Twin Cinemas

The Pine Ridge Twin Cinemas opened in the early 1980s. They were located in converted retail space in a K-Mart shopping center. The theatre was closed about 2000, following the opening of a new seven screen multiplex a block away.

An unusual feature of the Pine Ridge Twin’s location was that, being tucked into the corner of the “L”-shaped center, their front entrance was at the back of the building, where there was a small parking lot accessed via the center’s service alleys. What is now the front of the retail store which replaced the cinemas was then used only as the theatre’s emergency exit.
