Located in the Paradise Plaza Shopping Center, the Mountain Pine Cinema was opened in 1982. In June 1983 it was renamed Park Ridge Twin Cinema The theatre was closed about 2000, following the opening of a new Paradise Cinema 7 multiplex a block away.

An unusual feature of the Park Ridge Twin Cinema location was that, being tucked into the corner of the “L”-shaped center, their front entrance was at the back of the building, where there was a small parking lot accessed via the center’s service alleys. What is now the front of the retail store which replaced the cinemas was then used only as the theatre’s emergency exit.

It is possible that the former Park Ridge Twin Cinemas was destroyed by a wildfire on November 8, 2018 which almost completely destroyed the entire town.

Appears to have opened in the Paradise Plaza Shopping Center by the Theater Development Circuit of Nevada as the Mountain Pine Cinema in 1982. The circuit dissolved and the venue was purchased by Jim and John Harrison in June of 1983 who changed it to the Park Ridge Twin Cinema. The Harrisons owned the Pine Ridge Theatre, as well.
