This small, late-run cinema on Lenox Avenue at W. 132nd Street served Harlem for many decades before being converted into St. John Pentecostal Church. More information about its history is needed.

Here’s a 1935 image: www.i8.photobucket.com/albums/a18/Warrengwhiz/franklin.jpg
Listed in the American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915.
In 1942 there is a 495 seat motion picture theater at 440-442 Lenox Ave. In 1954 the building is listed as a Church. So, the Franklin theater closed somewhere between those two dates.
The Franklin Theatre is still listed as open in the 1950 Film Daily Yearbook with a seating capacity given as 450.
That narrows it down alot. Sometime between 1951 and 1953 should be the closing year.
