The Rosewin became the Rex Cinema in 1964. This picture is parked here as Dallas’ original Rex Theater at 1510 Elm (as owned by Leon S. Gohlman in this 1919 parade shot and 1920-4 R.J. Littlefield) and is not the Rosewin in any way shape or form. This 300 seat theater was in a 25x100 building as architected by Land & Witchell and H.W. Link was the contractor. The Rex would move to a new location of 1711 Live Oak (owners: 1924-5 Rex Amusement Co. and 1925-7 I. Wyll). The theater has no home in the cinematreasures database so, again, just parked here.
