The Ritt Theatre was opened by November 1914 and had 460-seats. Later renamed the Rittenhouse Theatre. It was not a perticularly successful theatre and went through several managements and opening and closings. The Rittenhaouse Theatre finally closed on June 2, 1928. It was converted to retail use and later demolished. Now a vacant lot owned by the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority.
