I think this cinema(or picture theatre) in a predominantly Jewish area, might be the one, where the canopy got hit in November 1988, showing “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, blowing one of the letters off the canopy, and then read “Who Framed Roger Rabbi”(mentioned in Film Facts by Patrick Robertson).

I was at the last night.Very sad as it was still a very popular cinema.If it hadnt been for the fact that Cannon acquired the Classic Hendon at the same time i doubt that this cinema would have shut,at least at that time.
