Listed in the 1944, 1945, 1951 and 1956 Film Daily Yearbooks. No seat total is listed in the 1956 FDY which may indicate that it was closed by this time.

Any additional information on this theatre would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an article about Sayreville that mentions the Colony theater. There is also a small painting of the Colony theater there.

Unless the news story is wrong, the Colony may also have been called the Liberty in silent film days. The Sunny Side Up Cafe is at 111 Main Street in Sayreville:
