For the low budgeted Astor Pictures “Rio Grande,” it would be hard to have a world premiere. So the film’s world premiere was – where else – the place it was shot in .Bastrop, Texas. The premiere was held at the Tower Theatre in 1949. A parade and a sell-out with all 921 seats sold thrilled the President of Astor Pictures Corp. Robert M. Savini.
