The old address, 202 Pago Plaza, Pago Pago 96799 American Somoa, showed the southeastern United States, far far away from American Somoa, in the South Pacific.

Pogo Pogo 96799 American Samoa shows the entire United States, different from the southeastern United States, but still far from the South Pacific. I have always tested a new address out on Google Maps and it needs to be entered eaxctly as I enter it and it should work, I HOPE.
Bob, I have already removed the street address and now it is noted in the introduction. Google still cannot map correctly. There is no way to rearrange the address on this site to have the Zip code after the Country name, its always before. Sorry about that.

For me this is great fun! We now have a red dot out in the middle of the ocean, not on an island, but between Wake Island, Marshall Iland, Johnston, and Micronesia. Course that American Somoa which is about the size of Washigton DC is sure hard to find.
I’m trying to remember, but I don’t think CT had a Map function when it first started and I think it’s great, when it works. It’s especially nice when the address of the theater is listed and the theater still stands. The problem is sometimes you have to play with the address or understand whats going on to get the map to work right.
The problem with American Somoa is Google Maps and the United States Postal Service. I would guess much to the chagrin of the American Samoans, American Somoa isn’t really a Country but has been a U.S. Teritory since about
a
WOW, something happened and that was sent to CT without me doing anything. Course I hadn’t finished or proofread. As I was saying.
American Samoa has been a U.S. Territory since about 1900. The United States Postal Service has a 2 letter state abbreviation for all states (Illinois = IL). Territories are listed the same way. American Samoa = AS so I guess the adrress that could be listed, PAGO PAGO AS 76799, but it won’t work if it dosen’t have UNITED STATES after it, such are the quirks of Google. Course AS isn’t very good cause it would’t mean anything to anybody.
Why do I spell it sOmoa instead of sAoma, most of the time? Becaue I was raised in Chicago and that’s how I talk. sorry, Da Bears.

Bob, I have noticed that you have requested a number of addresses be changed so that they will map. That would make the true address a false address. I believe the intention is to list the actual address of the theatre and not an address so that it will map. Google maps are off more than they are on. Sometimes they even put the little red pointer two blocks off from the actual address. They have done a very poor job on accuracy of street numbers. On this theatre their website lists the address 202 Pago Plaza, Pago Pago, AB 96799 American Samoa. I would think that should be the address in the header since Hollywood Theatres gives that address.
