An article in the archives of the Idaho Falls Post Register say the Sky-Vu opened on June 15, 1950. C.D. Couslin and Ralph Prestwich built it with an all-steel screen tower, which was unique for the time. The entire project was designed, constructed and equipped by Intermountain Theatre Supply. The 500-car theater was Idaho Falls second drive-in, joining the Motor-Vu, which opened in 1947. For the 1960 season the Sky-Vu announced its first price increase in 12 years. Adults: 75c. Children: 20c.
