Opened as the Palace Theater in 1928 with seating listed at 550. Changed names to the Beech Grove Theater in 1938 and the theater closed in 1940.

Beech Grove, IN had another movie theater later. It was called the Grove Theater and was located in the 500 block of Main Street. It was built in the late 1930s or early 40s. It was a typical neighborhood theater. It operated until the late 50s or early 60s and was remodeled into a bank and later demolished. I would appreciate any photographs of this Grove theater.
