Carmike Cinemas operated the University 8 Cinemas. It is located in the college town of Warrensburg. Seating is listed at 1,825. Showed first run attractions. Movies were shown once nightly with matinees on weekends, holidays and during the summer.

This theatre closed when Carmike opened the new Carmike 10 on Hawthorne Blvd. in 2009. The building now houses a Dollor Tree Store.
