Forgot to add to my previous comment, according to the non-profit website maintained by the person who took on the project, its a Lienberg and Kaplan design

Renovation/restoration work began in March of 2020

The current owner is restoring the building/renovating.

At the site now. Below marquee (which is in disrepair) it reads “Closed ‘Til Spring.” Admission prices are still in the window and posters from recent movies still up. It is ambiguous whether the theatre is permanently open or closed from on site evidence.

The Le Sueur is listed as closed on the Hardin Theatres website.

From Boxoffice, March 27, 1972: “Chet Werner, owner-operator of the Le Sueur Theatre, was featured in a New-Herald article recently…. His father, William J. Werner, purchased the old Snow Opera House in 1923 and converted it into a motion picture theatre. The building, located at the same site as the present Le Sueur Theatre, burned to the ground in 1933. The present showhouse was constructed in 1934.”
