Here’s an aerial view of the Library Square Theater. I am not sure which building it is, but I would assume it’s the second from the left?

Thanks to CJDV for the correct name of this theater. It is incorrectly listed as the Liberty Square Theater on the Richmond Hill website and on a genealogy website where I first came across this theater.
Bway….You think its the large building with the round stairs in front? That was my first pick but I still like the narrow building next to the blue tarp. I’m not sure if the two corner buildings are part of Lefferts or do they have their entrances on the adjacent streets.
Yeah, it could be that building to the left of the tarp too. If that other building does have steps, I doubt they would have put steps on a theater, but you never know.
The vacant lot on the corner is the old Simonson Funeral Home, a Victorian beauty that is now lost. The building to its right is the Old Republican Club which I also believe is about to be torn down due to neglect. The theater site would then be the building to the right of that.
Looking along the block, I would propose that a good possibility for the old theater building (if it still exists) would be the auto repair shop just a few doors up from Jamaica Avenue opposite where Babbage Street forms the southern point of the actual Library Square. Just an educated guess. LuisV, in the street view I’m looking at, the building to the right of the old Republican Club appears to be a residential dwelling from the 1920’s. Do you know for sure that this was the site of this theater?
