The Aala theatre opened in 1932 and closed in 1954. The building was not demolished, it is used for retail, selling beach bear ie: beach towels, trunks, thongs, tanning lotions etc. The information on the Hawaii theatres on the rivest web site is very inaacurate.
Chuck, I meant to ask if you had a location for this theater. Unfortunately, I’m leaving tomorrow morning. Maybe next time.
