So the Liberty in the photos has not been added. Am I correct?
I believe the Liberty in those photos have not been added. :)
According to the Philadelphia Architects and Buildings site, this Liberty theater at 805-807 Liberty Ave was built around 1875.
“Deep Throat” was shown here.

Read about the original Liberty Theatre on Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh (and see a drawing of what it once looked like)in my soon-to-be-published book WHERE THE MOVIES PLAYED IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURG(H) from RoseDog Books. The Liberty Theatre opened in 1913 and is today known as the Baum Building. After a short time as the Liberty, it became Harry Williams' Academy Burlesque and was converted to an office building in the late 1920’s. Over the years the basement played host to Lenny Litman’s Copa, Staircase Lounge and for decades, the famous dance club known as Pegasus. James Kastner-Murrysville, PA
Mr. Kastner, which Liberty Theatre is this in a 1916 trade article? And did the other Liberty ever get listed at CT?archive
That’s a different Liberty Theater, Charmaine. Yours was located in the beighborhood of East Liberty. This site is for the Liberty still operating in Downtown Pittsburgh, a site formerly known as the Art Cinema.
