PEARLS FOR VICTORY - Women are selling pearls – courtesy of the Imperial Pearl Company and Warner Brothers – from a fabulous dress worn by Joan Leslie in YANKEE DOODLE DANDY during the film’s first-run run at the Loew’s State Theatre in Houston, Texas in 1942. Proceeds from the sale benefited the city’s War Chest.
