This reopened as the RKO Reade’s theatre on August 18th, 1944.

Go to the Amazon website. Search the book title “highland park borough of homes”. You will see a reproduction of the book cover. Click on it to enlarge it, then click on it a second time to enlarge it further. You will see the RKO Park Theater.

Appears in the 1961 FDY under the RKO Theatres listing as the Park Theatre.

The 1944 FDY also lists this theatre as the Park.

Listed in Film Daily Yearbook’s:1941 & 1943 editions as the Park Theatre with a seating capacity of 1,367. By the time the 1950 edition of F.D.Y. was published it was known as the RKO Reade’s Theatre with a seating capacity of 1,053.
