Cinnaminson Twin Cinemas

Viewing: Photo | Street View

Originally opened as a twin theater to compete with the twinning of older theaters in the 1970s. Located in the Cinnaminson Mall, this theater was demolished along with the rest of the mall in October 2005.

Originally operated by the Music Makers chain, later an independent dollar theater that lasted into the ‘90s I think. The Cinnaminson Mall was a flop that wound up with most of its space occupied by a technical school; the theater was just about the only successful “retail” business there aside from the anchor stores (Woolco, later Caldor). The whole complex is expected to be demolished soon, if it isn’t gone already.

Saw The Cable Guy here, and there were mounds of trash piled up in front of the screen. Ick.

But back in the day I took in Dirty Dancing, Star Trek IV, Critters II, Karate Kid II..bud used to mention having a blast at Ski Patrol there.
