The Palace Theatre was owned by MCM Theatres, which also operated the Fain Theatre, later the Tropic Theatre, in downtown Leesburg. It closed during the early-1960’s. Today the seats have been removed, but most of the rest of the house is still present, including the stage.

I was in the Palace today. It is being remodeled to be a dance studio, and the floor has been leveled. The stage is being kept, and the owner is doing a beautiful job of restoration, including the installation of period light fixtures.
Here is a picture from August 2010.
