Besides other owners this drive-in was with A.H. Theatres(contolled by Paramount-Publix) and from 1964-1980 by Central States Theatres Corporation of Des Moines. It opened about 1950 and closed in 1985. The drive-in was located west of Oskaloosa and as far as I can tell south of old and new Iowa 163 at Kirby Avenue.

This theater was located right off of old Hwy. 163 just west of Oskaloosa. It was a single screen theater with a capacity of about 100 cars. The theater was demolished in the late 80’s and the site is now the current home of the Mahaska county road maintenance garage.
The Oskaloosa Drive-In is listed in the 1975 IMPA with a capacity for 400 cars. I don’t know the closing year but it is not listed in 1980.
