Operating prior to 1941, and through to at least 1950 as the New Holland Theatre. Fridley Theatres Incorporated was the chain for this theatre. I have no idea when it opened but it must have not closed too many years ago because I’ve found a number of computer listings for it.

I found a photo of this address and it looks like and old fashioned two story house, but I noticed a handicaped ramp so some recent work has been done on the building. Pella is trying to make the town have a Dutch storybook look. My guess is that the theatre was remodeled or a new building has been built on the site, in either case the building was made to look nice, but “old”. At least four lawyers have offices at this address.

There is no other description available for this theatre. If you know anything about this theatre, please email us!

It was a single-screen theater that could maybe seat 150. I don’t know when it opened (possibly late 70’s or early 80’s?) It was made from an old two story house (the partial second floor was where rental movies were located). The building is now home to a legal firm (hence the lawyers). It was closed around 1997-1998 when Pella built it’s current three screen theater.

The lawyers are still there. Function should be office space.
