The Palace Theater was located on South Loudoun Street. The Palace Theater burned down in November of 1969.
This is a story about the fire at the Palace Theater.
The Palace is listed in the 1970 motion picture almanac, probably due to printing deadlines. By the 1981 edition, the Palace has disappeared, as has the Hiway in New Market, VA, another Dalke’s theater.
If it burned down in 1969, I’m sure that it had disappeared by 1981. :)
Correct. It appears that your information was accurate for once. 8)
Thats funny. Comedy Central will probably call you real soon. Can’t you find anything more trivial to post? I had to drink six cups of coffee to stay awake so I could read these comments. :P
In 1949, My Father lived across the street from the Palace Theatre. He lived at 42 South Loudon Street on the 2nd floor over Moulden’s Electical Appliance Shop. In November of 1949, Patsy Cline played at the Palace Theatre.
