In 1949, My Father lived across the street from the Palace Theatre. He lived at 42 South Loudon Street on the 2nd floor over Moulden’s Electical Appliance Shop. In November of 1949, Patsy Cline played at the Palace Theatre.

If it burned down in 1969, I’m sure that it had disappeared by 1981. :)

The Palace is listed in the 1970 motion picture almanac, probably due to printing deadlines. By the 1981 edition, the Palace has disappeared, as has the Hiway in New Market, VA, another Dalke’s theater.

The Palace Theater was located on South Loudoun Street. The Palace Theater burned down in November of 1969.
