Small arts centre with a cinema showing a range of worldwide films, including the very obscure during its annual Far Out Festival. It opened in 1964 and has a modern simple design, with glass frontage and neon sign… but still a treasure.

This centre closed and has been replaced with a brand new 3 screen art-house cinema – the Phoenix Digital Media centre on another site.
