This opened as American on January 1st, 1911 and reopened as the Strand on September 14th, 1915 Grand opening ads for both has been posted here.
The Strand Theatre that got the Hillgreen-Lane organ in 1916 was a different house, located on Douglas Street. It was demolished in 1917 or 1918 to make way for the Omaha Athletic Club. The name Strand was probably moved to this house at that time. I don’t know what became of the organ.
It was also named the New Morris Theatre at one time after the American Music Hall.
A Hillgreen-Lane theater organ opus 430 size 3/20 was installed in the Strand Theater in 1916. Note: Later moved to Ritz Theater in Omaha Nebraska.
