Here is a brief mention of the Princess Theater:

“vision Iowa Report-December 13, 2006

The improvements to the community as a part of the Mount Ayr Historic Square Revitalization project have added greatly to the appearance of the community. Our long term plan is to continue the improvements such as antique lighting throughout the community. This project has truly been a community project. Currently, the high school shop students are working on the Princess Theatre as a part of their vocational studies. I’m pleased to see the community’s dreams becoming reality. â€" Mayor of Mount Ayr, Don Solliday".
