The listed Official Website is now a dead link. This now appears to be the official website that at least implies that it is now under the same management as the Oaks Theater: http://www.theoakstheater.com/penn_hills_cinemas.html
I lived in Penn Hills, right off of Rodi Rd.. I never had any trouble and used to walk all night everywhere,,I love Penn Hills, Met the love of my life at that theatre…There is not a day goes by I don’t think about her, even after all these years…..
Penn Hills does get a bad rap. There are plenty of good areas in Penn Hills.
I work there now. We are still here. We’re doing what we can but times are tough. Really though the only thing I would say that needs done more than anything else is a seat upgrade. As far as the area, Penn Hills gets a bad rap but I am here open to close pretty much all the time and there has never been an instance of violence here while the Waterfront has its regular physical altercations and the occasional shooting but gets nothing but praise. It’s still a nice theater. Even if I didn’t work here, living in the Penn Hills, I would come here. It’s close, convenient, affordable, the picture and sound are good. If anyone has any other questions about the place go ahead and ask them and I will check back and try to get back to you. Norelco. Do you have any pictures?
Cinnemette had it also, when I worked there it was a single screem theatre, we twined it in 82 I had no idea it was a 4 plex. Was a nice theatre.
It was once under Cinema World. Is it now independent?
Has anybody been to this theatre? What’s it like and in what kind of area is it in?
