Chuck 1231 you are half right, The DeSoto 4 was opened by CinemaNational (of Syracuse,NY) in 1973. United Artists bought out the CinemaNationals in Florida in 1976 and added two more screens in 1979.

This opened as Mall Cinemas 4 on September 21st, 1973. the ad can be seen at View link
