Cinema Copacabana

Opened in 1941 as Loew’s Copacabana Theatre. This once popular theater in the Copacabana district of Rio de Janeiro, has been completely remodeled and is now a health club.

I guess that people in Brazil can also enjoy having high cholesterol. Maybe that’s why the gym is located next door.

Is that a Walt Disney movie on the marqee in kenRoes 1975 photo?

Yes,they are playing a Disney movie.Could be a new relaese or something years old.

Which movie was it? I only saw the lower letters look like W DISNEY in the middle of the marquee on the bottom line.

The Walt Disney movie title “Aventuras Na Neve” on the marquee translates from Portuguese to English as “Ventures In The Snow”.

Close, Ken. It means “Adventures in the Snow”.
