Opened as the Skyway Plaza Cinemas in 1974, this old movie house closed in 1985 and was renovated and reopened in 1990 as the Lakeside Plaza Cinemas.

The former Skyway got its movie theater wings in 1999 when it closed.

Golden Theatres was the last to operate this cinema. Seating for Auditorium one was 408 and auditorium two was 261 for a total of 669 seats.
