The Showplace in Amarillo was owned by Noret.

Was this theatre similar to the Showplace theatre in Lubbock? Was it part of the Noret chain?

Opened in 1977.

Saw many, many films here back in the day. Was sad to see it close. It’s actually been turned into a Sylvan Learning Center not Gold’s Gym as stated above.

The showplace 4 is now a Gold’s Gym.
