The Gaiety opened as Dale’s Theater on June 4, 1910. The last film shown was in 1948. The theater was torn down in June 1954 to make way for a stationary store.

Stores by their very nature are stationary. They don’t go anywhere.

A Wurlitzer theater organ opus 952 style “D” was installed in the Gaiety Theater in Santa Maria, California on 11/26/1924.
