The map search shows this as being in Bessemer, Alabama. The shabbiness of the building in the vintage photo suggests a so-called “Negro Theater,” but the 1946 Film Daily Year Book lists only one in that category for Bessemer, and it ws called the Frolic. The general listing in the 1946 Film Daily Year Book for Alabama shows four theatres for Bessemer— the Frolic, the Grand, the State, and Auto Movies (presumably a drive-in). There is no theatre listed for Bessemer called the Hueytown, nor is there a listing for a city, town or whatever in Alabama named Hueytown.
There most certainly is a town named Hueytown in Alabama. Google maps might not map the address correctly, but the town does exist. Hueytown.
