A 1982 Terra Server map shows the entrance to the drive-in on Highway 62 pretty much where the entrance to WalMart is on 62.
I had so much fun going to this drive-in as a child! It’s neat to see a picture :) Yes, it was located on Highway 62 where the Wal-Mart Supercenter is now.
Approx. address would be 2875 West 6th Street, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
It does make sense that the 62 Drive-In would be on Highway 62.
Here is a quick link toozarknature’s map.
The location listed for this drive-in is incorrect. The actual location was at the corner of U.S. Highway 62 and Finger Lane in west Fayetteville. The property was purchased by Walmart and is today the site of a Walmart Supercenter. Here is a link to a map I made to this location:

This Commonwealth circuit theater was designed, as usual, by Milton Costlow & Associates.
In 1980 car capacity was 588. It is already listed as retail so listing it as demolished is a no brainer.
Opening was in July 1969, according to ads in the Northwest Arkansas Times. It was a Commonwealth theater at that time.
The “bible” of drive-in information.
Per drive-ins.com, the theater has been razed and replaced by a Wal-Mart. Status should be closed/demolished.
