The Palace opened in the 20’s and lasted until at least the 40’s in West Asheville. It is just a few blocks down from the Isis Theater.
The building still stands and currently houses a Latino grocery store. Outside you can still see the outline for the ticket booth in the decorative sidewalk tile pattern.
The old city directory has the address listed as 789 Haywood Road but the current building has 791 posted.

The Palace Theater is visible in this undated photo.
Great pic, Lost Memory!! Loved the TEXACO gas station. The theatre was probably fairly new when this photo was taken. I always enjoy your photos!! Thanks again.
Closed in 1945. Was operated by Publix Theatres.
