City Theatre

This small theatre was located in Highland Falls, New York, just south of the entrance to West Point Military Academy. A house now sits on the site, located next to a bank. It stood on Main Street/Route 218 on the approach just on the tip of the old historic Main Street, across from Key Foods.

The City Theatre opened in 1914 and showed short silent film and then switched over to full silent and then talkies and newsreels. It was remodeled in 1938 to the plans of architect Harrison G. Wiseman. The City Theatre closed in 1969.
