In the 1936 Gusher Yearbook is a display ad featuring both the Midwest and Strand theatres. The ad mentioned that these theatres were home owned, but most probably they were actually controlled by Griffith Theatres. In the ‘39 yearbook the Midwest, Rex, and Tower theatres are advertised.
Colorfull neon trim is long gone, and the marquee too, but the Mid-West Theatre is still in very good shape,
