A movie palace in miniature, many clever architectural details came together in the Del Rio Theatre design to create a "storybook" cinema. A multi-colour marquee, pinwheel neon, and tracer lighting put theatre goers in a gay carnival mood when approaching the festive Del Rio.

Looks as though the Del Rio was designed with “forced perspective” in order to make it appear much larger than it actually was.
