Theater shown mostly the current crop of horror films that came through town in 1980.. among them Don’t go in the house. The shining. Friday the 13th, Zombie. He knows your alone. Silent Scream. and Prom Night.

last movie to show here was “Mother’s Day” a nasty brutal horror movie that was actually unrated.. October of 1980.. think theater closed october 12th..
Richard Pryor Live in Concert played here for weeks in Spring of 1979…
My next door nighbors operated the Edge Moor Theater, They also owned and operated the Spring Lake Recreation center in Glenn Mills PA. I lost track of the Family, but thier name was Cadone (sp) I still live in Wilmington, DE. JL
This is where my mom took me and my cousin to see JAWS in the summer of ‘75 when i was 10 yrs. old. I don’t remember much about the theater other than it was a matinee, crowded and had very soft comfortable seats.
“zombie” played here in or around September of 1980!
Can anyone give me info on the Cinemart on Gov Prinz? I can’t find any info anywhere, but, I stop to look at it every time I’m in the area. What a mystery. The only thing I can tell is that I was built in the 60’s due to the chandelier and font on the front sign.
