Just a block away from the Texan at 804-6 Indiana Avenue sat the Empress Theatre. And E.M. Berg created a sensational, eye-catching atmospheric masked front there (the ticket window is just through the entrance of the fake DIY outpost). This was in support of “Where the North Begins” in 1923.
