The Jackson (or Jackson’s) Theatre was opened in 1926 by Sam Jackson, a Flomaton businessman. The theater continued to be owned and operated by the Jackson family until 1971 when the theater was closed down. In 1977, the building was purchased by a new owner who converted the Jackson into an antiques auction house, as it remains today.
