If you scroll down to 200 N. Center, there is some information about a Texas Theater in Brownwood at 205 North, circa 1940s. It could have been adjacent to the Gem, but my hunch is that the Texas and the Gem were the same theater:

As far as I know, the Texas Theater is not the Gem Theater. The Texas was slightly smaller and both were operating in the 1940s. They must have been located next to each other. Since you have the address, you could add the Texas Theater.

The Gem was operated by Texas Consiladated Theatres and then Interstate Circuit. Closed in the early-1950’s.
