The Ritz Theatre was listed in the 1937 and 1945 Payette city directories. The Ritz Theatre was still operating in 1950.

This is supposed to be a photo of a Ritz Theater in Payette, Idaho.
The same website has a photo of Main Street in Payette with a theater visible on the right, but I was unable to determine what theater that might have been.
There was a Rio Theater in Payette, Idaho. Maybe thats the other theater.

I can’t figure out what theater is in that photo. The Rio is not another name for the Ritz. And the Rio is not listed on this site. I don’t know what street the Rio was located on. You could add it if you want.
I will add the Rio with address unknown. We know the Main Street theater and the Ritz were on different streets, so there shouldn’t be any confusion there.
Good idea. Maybe the Rio is the theater in the photo. I know that both theaters were operating at the same time in the 1940s.
